Walker on Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act Passage and March for Life

Statement

Date: Jan. 19, 2018
Location: Washington, DC
Issues: Abortion

U.S. Representative Mark Walker (R-N.C.) today released the following statement after House passage of H.R. 4712, the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act:

"Today's vote reaffirms the intrinsic value of all life. The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act is a common-sense bill that recognizes that all children born alive should be provided the same protections, regardless of circumstances of their birth. This bill makes it clear that the killing of a child who has been born alive is a clear act of murder."

Earlier today, Congressman Walker offered a greeting the 45th Annual March for Life:

"The March for Life is a bittersweet event. On one hand, it commemorates a great atrocity on America's conscience: abortion. On other hand, it is uplifting to see so many young people come out year after year in the bitter cold to fight for the rights of unborn children. On this 45th anniversary of the March for Life, the pro-life community should also be praised for their work the other 364 days of the year in helping all mothers and children."
